Wow, I am not sure where to begin or even know what was accomplished in 2010. I guess I can divide it up. Health: Makenzi got her new pump and we are working on new habits of good health with her. Billy had a cist removed from his face and is healing well. Mati had several sport injuries that were treated and she is still pressing on with her passions in sports. Myranda discovered it is not good to cut with sharp knives and had 4 stiches in her hand. She healed well also. Chuck had a year of few illnesses which was a blessing. I had a full week of a flu bug that I don't want to see again. So all in all we have so much to be thankful for.
Finances: Paid off 2 debts. Keeping up with the medical cost. Started Dave Ramsey and feeling like God has given us the tools to get to financial freedom. Still making mistakes but feeling confident that we are on the right path.
Home: We were hit with a huge hail storm that took out 6 windows and our roof. Thankfully with insurance we have a new roof and new windows. Chuck was diligent in getting the fencing around the arena done this year. So far we have not had any horses escape through the new fence.
Spiritual: Each year I wonder how anyone can live without knowing they have a savior who will carry them through all of life's ups and downs. I pray daily for my family and my children and those who God brings me to in my work. I have learned that I can not do anything amazing apart from Him. I still have a long way to go in relying on God for everything but each day brings blessing and hope that I have been reconciled with my Creator.
Highlights of 2010:
Matisyn completed her reign for the Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska. Had a fabulous week with all the state queens and great memories. Makenzi began singing with the praise and worship band at Church. Myranda and I took a purity weekend to Estes Park and had a wonderful time building our relationship. Billy learned how to do stunts on his bike and has become quite the little dare devil. Chuck had a great year with football making the distance in the playoffs. For Myself just watching my family and myself grow and reach out to those in need without any complaining has been the biggest heart warmer this year.
So for the year of 2010 good bye and thank you for all that we have done and learned. Now for the year of 2011 challenge us to rely more on God and to see how many amazing things he is able to accomplish through us.
